Dolphy Won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor

dolphy
The comedy king Dolphy won two awards in the last 35th Metro Manila Film Festival. He won in the Film "Father Jejemon" as Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor in "Rosario". This is the second time as I remember an actor won two awards in one award night. The other one was Dawn Zulueta in "Hihintayin kita sa Langit" as best actress and best supporting actress in a film that I forget with Sharon Cuneta as the lead actress.

Earlier Dolphy's film was criticized because it offended the Catholic Church but those part of his film were deleted. Dolphy said that this might be his last movie because he wants to retire. His live-in partner produced the film. Many people and critics were not happy about the results because they said that other films which are well made were ignored.

Dolphy is Rodulfo Quizon in real life. He is 82 years old and sired many children with different women.

Ai Ai delas Alas Won Best Actress

ai ai delas alas
Ai Ai delas Alas won best actress in the last film festival. The 35th Metro Manila Film Festival is full of controversy with its winners in different Categories. Ai Ai was very happy when she received the trophy. Many people are questioning about the double win of Dolphy who said that this will be his last movie. Some say that he won because of Sympathy but I like Dolphy though because is effective in Comedy and Drama.

Dolphy's "Father Jejemon" was also into controversy because of some part which is blasphymic to Catholic Church. He won Best Actor in this film and Best Supporting Actor in "Rosario", a classic film directed by Albert Martinez. Back to Ai Ai delas Alas, she won best actress in "Tanging Ina Last na to" and even if this is a comedy film I think she deserve to win because comedy acting I think is harder than drama. If you are not good it might turn out to be overacting. I saw also most of her movies and I think is really good Congratulations to you Ai Ai!!!

Most of the people or critics would say that Filipino Movies are trash and films which are honored abroad are ignored well maybe we Filipinos have different taste than other nationalities. We want to be entertained not to cry so we tend to enjoy shallow movies lol.

miss earth 2010

Miss Earth-Air was crowned by Sandra Siefert who was Miss Earth-air 2009. Karla Paula Henry who won Miss Earth 2008 was one of the judges. Many pageant experts were satisfied with the set of winners than other grand slam pageant results though the production was not very entertaining compared to Miss Universe but in my own openion every pageant is unique so why copy the other pageant.

Ronan Keating was the invited entertainer guess who do not know about Miss Earth. Miss Earth 2011 will still be held in Vietnam next year.

Nicole Faria is the first crowned queen from India after 10 years and a first from India to be crowned as Miss Earth.

Sandra Bullock is Top Earner Actress in Hollywood

Even if Sandra Bullock is not lucky in her love life but her career is golden. According to Forbes she earned the most from June 2009 to June 2010 which is $56 million. She ranked number one according to Forbes as top earner actress in Hollywood.

Here is the news about her taken from ccn news:

Despite reducing her fee to play the lead in the film “The Blind Side,” her share of the profits paid off handsomely as the movie earned $310 million at the box office – a healthy return on an estimated budget of about $30 million.

Bullock easily surpassed the next two actresses on the list, Reese Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz, who each scored $32 million over the past year. That pair is followed by Jennifer Aniston, who earned $27 million.

The rest of the list includes Sarah Jessica Parker – $25 million; Julia Roberts – $20 million; Angelina Jolie – $20 million; Drew Barrymore – $15 million; Meryl Streep – $13 million; and Kristen Stewart – $12 million.
Sandra Bullock top Earner
To reach their calculations, Forbes said they talked to Hollywood insiders like agents, managers, producers and lawyers to determine the stars upfront pay on movies they are currently shooting, as well as money earned after a movie opened in theaters. They also factored in earnings from projects like ad campaigns perfume and clothing lines.

I must conclude that this is her year aside from winning best actress in Oscar Academy. Sandra Bullock is my favorite actress too. I hope she will produce more valuable film in the near future.

What Lindsay Lohan can Expect Inside the Jail?

Lindsay Lohan Jail
Lindsay Lohan will get the same treatment as a regular prisoner but there is a chance that she will be released earlier due to overcrowding prison if she will behave well.

Here is the news about the process as written in CNN.COM

Lindsay Lohan will soon be trading in her designer duds for a stiff cotton Los Angeles County Jail jumpsuit come her three-month sentence, likely to be served at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California.

Legal experts say she'll likely serve between two weeks to a month due to the sheriff's long-standing policy of releasing nonviolent offenders early due to overcrowding, presuming she'll also get time off for good behavior. She is due to surrender to the court and begin her sentence on July 20.

Paris Hilton served 23 days of a 45-day sentence at the same jail for violating her probation in a DUI case and was sprung early for good behavior.

"I was basically in the fetal position, basically in hysterics," Hilton told PEOPLE at the time of her first sleepless nights in jail. As for her fellow inmates, she said, "All of the inmates were very supportive. There were girls next to me. We could talk through the vents and they were just really sweet."

As with all other prisoners, Lindsay Lohan, 24, will be photographed, fingerprinted and searched upon entry at the facility, which currently holds about 1,800 inmates, all of them female, says L.A. sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

After being placed in a holding area with other detainees, Lohan will eventually be assigned a 12-by-8 cell that features two bunks (with 4-inch thick foam mattresses covered in green vinyl), a toilet, sink, a stool and a small tabletop. The only glimpse of the outside world is through a narrow six-inch window.

Whitmore said that Lohan would likely be segregated from the general population "for her protection as well as the jail staff."

Little Free Time
Most inmates at the Lynwood jail are kept in their cells for 22 hours a day, except for one hour of recreation time and 20 minutes per meal. The free-time hour can be spent watching TV in a common room, playing basketball in a recreation room, making phone calls or taking a hot shower.
Morning wake-up calls are at 5 a.m. through a blaring P.A. system. "Line up for chow! Make your bed! Tuck your shirts in! Hands in your pants! I want my military line with no talking! That's how you start your day at Lynwood," a former inmate tells PEOPLE.

Breakfast is served shortly thereafter and typically consists of two hard-boiled eggs, two pieces of wheat bread and an orange juice carton. Lunch is served around 10:30 a.m. and is often peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, an apple, banana or two cookies with a fruit punch carton.
Served around 5:30 p.m., a typical dinner (the only hot meal of the day) is processed chicken, what inmates have nicknamed "erasers," served with noodles, broccoli, coleslaw and Jell-O for dessert. To drink: milk.

Mel Gibson Abused Ex-girlfriend?

Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson is one of my favorite actors of all time. I watched all of his films except “Braveheart” not because I do not like it but the scene where his girlfriend was killed is the one which I felt gruesome. “Passion of Christ” was a major box office hit though I found some mistake in editing the film. Well I have to write about the latest news about him. I knew that he committed adultery when he found another woman and have a child with her. The latest news is that he physically abused because they have a bitter legal battle in recent months for the child custody. Oksana Grigorieva the alleged victim is a Russian singer who also wants the custody of their child Lucia.
The Sheriff’s statement said that the alleged violence occurred in January at Gibson’s home in Malibu. There was no statement from Gibson side as of this writing.
Mel Gibson is a major Hollywood star who found fame after he portrayed the action hero in “Mad Max” movies. He again boosted his stardom in the “Lethal Weapon” cop flicks and others and won Oscars for directing and producing “Braveheart”.
But the actor ran into trouble in 2006 when he was arrested for drunk driving in Malibu, California, where he lives, and then launched into an anti-Semitic tirade against the arresting officer. He was quoted as telling the official that "Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world."
Gibson subsequently apologized publicly for what he called "despicable behavior" and sought counseling. He was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to attend an alcohol recovery program.

Lindsay Lohan Fingernail Message

Lindsay Lohan
Here is a follow up news about Lindsay Lohan. I thought she is a nice girl. I thought she is the victim but look at what she has in her fingernail. She is crazy and I do not blame the paparazzi about what happened to her. It is her doing that made her a victim. I hopw she will mull inside the jail and change her life for the better.

This bitch has to learn a lesson. Staying in jail for 90 days is not enough with this kind of attitude. Many people wish that she will be punished or be bullied inside the jail. Fame and money can really make the person blind. She should follow what Drew Barrymore had done to her life. Look at her now, she is very successful and happy. As an artist they should set themselves as an example to young people. The young people always look up them as their model. Anyway have a nice three months vacation in the jail and be a new person when finishing your sentence.

Many famous individuals went to jail for crime they were committed but I think this is okay that going straight to the cemetery. At least in jail they still have time to fix their lives.

Lindsay Lohan reform yourself and have fun in the jail.

Robert Pattinson Eclipse Interview

Robert Pattinson who played the character Edward in "Twilight Saga" movie series reveals some of the details about the next movies "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" that it might be a two movie. Maybe this part is too long that they decided to make it into two. But the guy never said anything whether they are a couple off screen with Kristen Stewart and who could blame him, he is was just their to promote the movie.

Here is the Interview:

What did you learn for Eclipse?
Robert Pattinson: "I guess I had to learn how to run properly. In the last two I’ve always run with a kind of limp/skip and I had to sort of look like I could run more solidly this time. So I spent a lot of time on a giant treadmill, like one of those wheels mice run around - and got filmed doing it to improve my form. I guess that was one of the big things."

Edward is considered a romantic hero but he’s also very possessive. Can you talk a little bit about what you think halfway through playing Edward? Has he changed?

Robert Pattinson: "Yeah, I mean in the first two movies, earlier on in the story, were just caused by his desolation from reality, so when he finds one thing to hold on to, that’s where the possessiveness comes from. I think as the series goes on he accepts more and more that he’s part of the contemporary world. I think all the things that were deemed to be flawed before start fading away. I mean, that’s how I’m trying to play him. I think he’s coming out of his shell a little bit in Eclipse, so hopefully by the end of Breaking Dawn I’m hoping he’ll be basically a normal 17 year old guy, just a little bit pale."

Did you ever compete for a woman with another guy the way Edward does with Jacob?

Robert Pattinson: "Did you say, 'Have you ever slept with a woman with another guy?' [Laughing] I was like, 'I don’t know if that’s appropriate!' Compete, no I don’t! I’m not good at doing it. I just kind of leave it alone. And also I guess, well I was about to say if you own the girl but that doesn’t make sense, if you are the one with the girl in the first place I guess maybe you’re forced into fighting a little bit. But I would never be in Jacob’s position, because then you just end up being the guy who broke up a couple anyway."

How was working more closely with Taylor Lautner in Eclipse?

Robert Pattinson: "Yeah it was good in this one because I never do anything with anyone else, apart from Kristen in the other two. I mean brief things, but it’s kind of part of how I was answering the other question, letting Edward have petty emotions like being jealous of Jacob and not being able to control himself around him because he gets under his skin so much it became much easier to play, a much bigger scope of emotion to play as soon as you let someone else get through your armor. So doing that with Taylor was great. He’s really good too."

Was there a scene in particular with him that stands out?

Robert Pattinson: "Some scenes it was just quite cool to have him there. I like the scenes where Bella has to reveal something about herself in front of Jacob and me at the same time. It’s quite a nice extra thing to relate to. Most of the time it’s just with Bella and she’s trying to convey something to me and Edward is being totally sympathetic to her. But seeing another guy and seeing it’s not just about our relationship, it’s about some other person, it kind of made it a little more interesting."

Do you believe in a soul, like Edward?

Robert Pattinson: "Yeah. I mean, I think definitely. I can’t remember who said it, but a soul and a heaven must exist because good people aren’t rewarded enough on Earth. I always liked that idea, if that makes sense."

How was working with David Slade? Do you have to kind of explain to each director about the character?

Robert Pattinson: "It’s interesting. After doing Twilight, the first one everyone had very specific ideas and everyone was butting heads the entire time, and you can kind of feel it in the movie. It’s a different energy where everyone’s like, 'No, this is what it’s about.' Then when Chris Weitz came in for New Moon, he basically came in with the opinion that he liked the first one, he liked what the actors were doing, so just follow along that road."

"Then when David came in he was like, 'I want to do everything completely different, not do it like the first two.' So we talked about the character development and consistency from the two and he was like, 'It doesn’t matter. Let’s just do something completely different,' which is good because then it’s challenging. It’s easy to get stagnant if you play the same character and luckily I’ve kind of felt, I don't know...I guess in New Moon I felt like I was developing something a little bit deeper. And then with Eclipse I felt like I was doing a completely different movie, and a completely different character in a lot of ways. So, yeah, it was nice and challenging."

What was David’s biggest imprint on you as far as how you played Edward this time?

Robert Pattinson: "I mean, I guess he was really fighting to make it not so, what’s the word, solemn I guess, just the speed of it. Just to speed things up which is a massive deal because I mean Edward always, in my eyes, has been so calculated and everything is not rash, any of his decisions. David wanted to speed up the whole thing and make him more vulnerable."

You were on the first soundtrack, would you contribute again on anymore of the movies?

Robert Pattinson: "I’ve done a couple of things. I mean, I’ve always just been playing around. As for the soundtracks, I mean I’m not sure. It was nice to be involved in the first one. I just saw Twilight on TV for the first time a few days ago."

You’d never seen it before?

Robert Pattinson: "No, [laughing] apart from the commentary. When my song came on I was just thinking that is so bizarre that I actually had a song in the movie. I’m kind of amazed Catherine Hardwicke did it. It really shows how none of us thought it was going to be so massive. I didn’t know anyone was going to buy the soundtrack or anything. So it’s a little more nerve-wracking now. I don’t know, maybe."

Taylor Lautner has a great line when he gets to say he’s hotter than you. How was it filming that scene and were you upset you didn’t get a comeback as Edward? And would you like to address that issue right now?
Robert Pattinson: "There’s nothing you can say. It’s like, ‘Yeah, you are! At least I’m not hotter than you.' I don’t know, yeah it was quite fun. There are quite a few lines in there. Jacob has quite a few catchphrase-type of lines in this film, with me especially."

"It’s quite funny, for some reason I find it quite funny when I’m doing stuff like that with Taylor. There are a couple scenes where we have sort of confrontational scenes, I sort of push him around a little bit and I was supposed to grab his shoulder. It wasn’t even in the script, I thought I’d really scare him and grab his shoulder and it’s going to freak him out and turn the whole scene upside down! Then I grabbed his shoulder and his shoulder was too big to actually get a grip on. So he just went [brushed it off] and I just dropped my hand, so that was kind of embarrassing. I got him back, though. He kept having to dress up in a little grey spandex wolf suit all the time and try and be intimidating in that, with Kristen patting him on the head and stuff. That was quite fun to get him back."

There are so many fan sites not just for you, but for Edward. Do you check any of those fansites out?

Robert Pattinson: "It’s kind of incredible the information they get so quickly. Sometimes I’ll check them to see what my schedule is on stuff, especially on the weekend when I can’t get through to my agency. They know way better, or even to see my emails sometimes! But no, some of them it’s strange being in Twilight because so much of the fan base is completely about being on the internet and having a community with each other. You see people turn up on sets of other movies I’ve done and take a picture. You know the main reason is so they can have a thing within their online community, and you know it’s going to be up within five seconds. If they could upload it as they were taking the picture, it’d be better. But, yeah, it’s strange."

Are you afraid that everything else you do will be compared to Edward Cullen?

Robert Pattinson: "I’m not sure. I’ve always been of the opinion that if something explodes really quickly, it takes the same amount of time for people to think of something else. I mean, I don’t know. I hope not. Maybe it’ll be a good thing...I have no idea."

You said most of your scenes are with Kristen. Both of you are very serious actors, so how do you two prepare for those scenes? Do you get together and nitpick everything over, or do you prefer to just get on set and see what happens?

Robert Pattinson: "I do because I have, for some reason I can’t understand anything and I think I’m going really into depth of the character when it just seems so obvious to Kristen. Her mind works completely differently. She can just feel things immediately and I’ll kind of, I don’t know, I like to be much more cerebral about things, in completely the opposite way to Kristen. I don’t feel confident unless I know more about the reasons why I’m doing things. I don’t really do that for other parts, so I guess that’s what I do for Edward. But I always, since the first one, like to go in depth about things."

Edward and Victoria have this really cool fight scene. How much training did you and Bryce Dallas Howard have to go through and what was it like having to fight a girl?

Robert Pattinson: "Weirdly, one of the producers on this told me the other day, 'Wow, you look so enthusiastic in that fight scene, much more so than any one in the series.' No, I did a bit of practice with Bryce. It’s really hard to do stuff with her because she’s the gentlest person and she’s always kind of laughing whenever you do anything, so we did a little bit and kind of half-heartedly. And then she’d be afraid of hurting me for some reason, even though she’d only be hitting [imitating a light tap]. I thought something was going to go wrong at some point, and we basically waited for the day. Most of the vicious looking stuff I did with her stunt double who was really, really tough. But the bits with Bryce you can really notice if you just watch the fight scene, we’re just kind of rolling around a bit and grabbing onto each other. But, yeah, it was fun doing that."

Do you understand the fantasy about you and Kristen being together in real life and what’s the truth about it?

Robert Pattinson: "Do I understand the fantasy of it? No, not really. Well I mean I guess people like stories I mean…that’s my basic conclusion is that they just want everything to be about Twilight, I guess. The truth is…that I wish I had a few more hours of sleep today so I could think about better answers. I don't know." [laughing]

What would you say to someone who wants to know why they should see this movie?

Robert Pattinson: "'Why not?,' I suppose. It’s strange. I don’t know what to say to people. It’s become so big that it’s become part of the cultural environment I think, unless I’m just imagining it. It’s really difficult for me to tell someone to go out and see it. I mean I don’t know anymore! For the first one and the second one I knew exactly what to say to people."

"I guess, if you don’t know what the story is about by now, then you’ve probably never been to the cinema before so why not just go to the cinema for once? I don't know. I mean I think if you’re a fan of it, there’s a lot of the film that plays into what the fans of the series want. I guess if you’ve never seen them before, a lot of people who have seen it tell me it’s the most accessible of the three. It’s a solid story by itself and it’s more of a sort of action film. Even when I was watching Twilight the other day, now that I’ve seen it, you do need to read the book to get it. I was just like, 'What?,' and I’m in it!"

With Breaking Dawn, what do you think is Edward’s evolution?

Robert Pattinson: "I haven’t read it yet! I mean it’s weird to do because I’m starting it a month after this job and it’s something I’m quite glad I haven’t read it yet. I didn’t intend to not read it until now, but it’s quite exciting. I have no idea. I just heard brief rumors about what happens in the story, but I don’t really know what happens at all."

What’s the one part of your costume that always transforms you into character? How are you going to go about getting your long hair back for Breaking Dawn?

Robert Pattinson: "Probably the contact lenses because it makes me miserable as soon as I put them in. That’s what creates sort of the pouting and brooding character. You’re just like, 'Ugh.'"

"I’m thinking maybe Edward had a haircut, it might be easier. But yeah, I didn’t even think about that when I got it cut. That is a bit silly. Vampires can cut their hair though, so I like the idea of Edward having a shaved head in the last one. That might be pretty cool."

How long have you known Breaking Dawn was going to be two films and have you met with Bill Condon yet?

Robert Pattinson: "I found out about Breaking Dawn being two films when the press release came out! I haven’t asked anyone about that yet. Bill Condon I met briefly a few weeks ago, kind of by accident just before the MTV Awards in a bar [laughing]. He seemed great. He seemed like a really, really nice guy. I haven’t talked to him in detail about anything, but Gods and Monsters is an amazing movie. I think it’s going to be good. I don’t even know where they’re going to shoot it yet or anything!"

In the tent scene, did you or Taylor crack up during the serious moments? Was it hard to keep a straight face?

Robert Pattinson: "It’s weird that you mention the tent scene about that. For some reason on that day - we reshot it as well - but the first time we did it, I was really freaking out. I don’t know why. I think it had to do with claustrophobia or something, because we were actually shooting in a tent, and I just couldn’t get it together! I kept forgetting my lines and getting so nervous. I just wanted to punch anyone who was near me in the face! We did about three takes and Kristen is supposed to be asleep on the floor and she saw that I was freaking out...I don't know why. Halfway through the take she suddenly opened her eyes. She kept staring at me and kept trying to make me laugh through the entire take, and it’s like the most serious scene in the whole movie! I just wanted to strangle her for the first two seconds, but then the entire scene I was playing, I almost could not stop laughing the entire time. We got literally one take where it went kind of right and it was because of that, when I was trying to hold back laughter. I guess it made me more alive or something. They did reshoot the scene in the end, so maybe I’m a little bit mistaken."

What drives you to succeed?

Robert Pattinson: "I guess probably fear of failure [laughing] and an inadequacy complex."

Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia: The Sand of Times

This is late post about Prince of Persia but I just want to write because I like Jake Gyllenhaal very much. I saw him first in "The day after tomorrow" as Dennis Quaid genius son. He was still very young then and I like his innocent face. I appreciate him very much in his challenging rule in "Brokeback Mountain" with Heath Ledger too but Ledger passed away so soon.

What I like about Jake is his eyes. They communicate even before he speak. I really want to see this "Prince of Persia" which is rename as "Dagger" in the Philippines but I could find a good copy in the Net. The movie is based on the popular computer game so I think the computer game enthusiast will love this.

This movie was shot in Morocco with 120 temperature while some part is in England. The budget of the film is $150 million and was premier on May 28, 2010. Jake laeding lady is the beautiful Gemma Alterton. By the way Jake Gyllenhaal did a lot of exercise to have a beautiful abs here and you can see his bulging muscles pack.

Kristen Stewart of Twilight Saga felt luckier than Lohan

Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart felts that she is lucky not to be like Lindsay Lohan/a>. I first saw Stewart in “Panic Room” as Jodie Foster child. I did not recognize her and I thought she was a boy lol. Unlike Lindsay Lohan, Kristen Stewart is very proud because she has the support of her parent. See what money can do! Anyway she said that she remain humble and never lost her momentum about fame and money. Good child indeed. The “twilight saga” actress admits that is is easy for young stars to lose their way in life. Although she described her family as supportive but Stewart do not blame Lindsay Lohan for getting off the rails and said that Lohan is a very smart girl.

"Mean Girls" actress Lohan, 23, has had a turbulent few years as she battled problems with drink and drugs read Lindsay Lohan here for more details.

Although Stewart is thrilled she has remained level-headed, she hates the intrusion into her life and believes it is similar to "rape."

She told Britain's Elle magazine: "What you don't see are the cameras shoved in my face and the bizarre intrusive questions being asked, or the people falling over themselves, screaming and taunting to get a reaction. The photos are so... I feel like I'm looking at someone being raped. A lot of the time I can't handle it."
Since she first appeared in the "Twilight" movies, Stewart and her hunky co-star Robert Pattinson have been continually questioned about the status of their relationship.

However, the 20-year-old starlet has vowed to remain secretive on the subject.
She added: "What I say is that why would I want anything that's private to become entertainment for other people?"

I for one once lost my momentum and I learn many lessons out of it. Feeling famous! My advice is to stand up and fight and give yourself another chance. I like Kristen Stewart and want to see more of her films in the future.

Lindsay Lohan Sentenced 3 Months in Jail

Lindsay Lohan
I am not a fan of Lindsay Lohan but I read some of the comments about her and felt sorry because harsh comments like she deserved it to be jail for being bitch is not nice. It is some somewhat adding insult to injury. We people should not be happy about other people’s misery or downfall.

Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail or that is that roughly three months for violating the 2007 probation by not attending the alcohol education classes. It is about drunk driving test. Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered the “Mean Girls” movie start to report for jail in July 20 and attend the 90-day residential substance abuse program once she finish her sentence.

Lohan, 24, sobbed bitterly on hearing the sentence. She had earlier tearfully begged the judge for forgiveness, saying she was taking her alcohol education classes seriously.

"I am not taking this as a joke. This is my life. It is my career. It is something I have worked for all my life," Lohan said.
The court heard that Lohan had missed seven alcohol education classes over a period of 27 weeks and had not attended once a week as instructed by the judge.
"I couldn't have been more clear, and it wasn't done," said Revel, before sentencing her.

Tuesday's hearing stemmed from a 2007 drunken driving and cocaine arrest. Lohan spent 84 minutes in jail that year as part of her sentence and was given three years probation.

Her career, at its height during the 2003 and 2004 movies "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls", has since gone rapidly downhill.

Lindsay Lohan found fame as an 11 year-old in the movie "The Parent Trap" and was considered one of Hollywood's most talented young actresses. But in recent years, her hard-partying ways have proved steady fodder for celebrity gossip sites.
Many celebrities ruined their lives because of drugs but some of them recovered like Drew Barrymore so I hope Lohan will learn from others experience.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Earned $30 million After Midnight Screenings

I watched the two previous offering of this movie and most of the viewers were teenager and alike because this movie although it is about vampires but the romance is there where the teenagers were tickled. I love the first two released too as I am young at heart and I like vampire movies. Now according to the news “The twilight Saga: Eclipse,” which debuted on Wednesday make a record-breaking of $30 million box office in screening just after midnight.

According to North American ticket sales, this movie beat the predecessor “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” with only $26.3 million for any movie’s midnight screenings.
According to critics the movie boosted its romantic storyline but overall the active and execution were not satisfying. The “eclipse” is more entertaining than the two predecessors with added humor, more violence and true the film’s title, a deeper intimation of darkness.

Box office unfazed according to Reuters Report:
But reviews may not matter for the teen market who have embraced the first two films as much as they have Meyer's books, and the midnight screenings certainly brought out loyal followers known as "Twi-hards."

The initial "Twilight" sucked $392.5 million from box offices worldwide and its sequel, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" raked-in $709 million worldwide.
And whether they can act or not, the franchise's stars have profited. Both Pattinson and Stewart were ranked in this week's Forbes' magazine 2010 celebrity power list, earning $17 million and $12 million respectively in 2010. Author Stephenie Meyer made $40 million.

Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times said while part of the movie didn't work, including the special effects, "the audience watched this film rapt with attention" and in summing up, said "The 'Twilight' movies are chaste eroticism to fuel adolescent dreams."

To sum up the movie, many reviews noted the line from the film that seemed to most epitomize the stand-off between Edward and Jacob over their competing affections for Bella. Jacob tells his rival: "Let's face it, I'm hotter than you."

Meryl Streep Might Play Margaret Thatcher

Meryl Streep
Meryl Steep is my all time favorite actress and I am proud of it. She is the most nominated actress in Oscar and still counting. Right now is very busy in talks about playing Margaret Thatcher the former British Prime Minister. The movie title is “The Iron Lady” a biopic of the controversial Prime Minister. Meryl Streep is known to play many and different real life women.

Jim Broadbent is in talk too to play Thacher’s husband, Denis. If this deal is completed, the role of Thatcher will be the highest profile character yet tackled by Streep. Meryl Streep will reteam with the “Mamma Mia” director Phyllida Lloyd for this famous and long-governing former British Prime Minister.

Lloyd, a British theater director known for her work in the opera world, elicited energy and brought out youthfulness in Streep in her feature adaptation of "Mamma Mia!," which grossed more than $600 million worldwide in 2008.

I am always fascinated when I watched Meryl Streep Movies.

John Lennon handwritten lyrics sell for $1.2 million

John Lennon

This is John Lennon latest News. I am not a fan of him although I like the Beatles songs. We all knew that he was gunned in 1980's and maybe this is a karma for him for saying that he is more popular than Christ. Anyway his handwritten lyrics sell for $1.2 Million.

Here is the news:

NEW YORK – John Lennon's handwritten lyrics to "A Day in the Life" sold for $1.2 million in New York on Friday, almost doubling the estimated price, Sotheby's auction house said.

Considered one of the Beatles' greatest songs and the final track on "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", the lyrics were sold to a private American collector on the telephone after an intense six minute bidding battle, Sotheby's said.

"The outstanding price achieved for these handwritten lyrics is testament to the iconic status of the Beatles, John Lennon and especially this song," said David Redden, Sotheby's Books and Manuscripts Department international chairman.

According to Sotheby's, the record for Beatles lyrics at auction is $1.25 million paid for "All You Need Is Love" in 2005.

Sotheby's described "A Day in the Life" as "the revolutionary song that marked the Beatles' transformation from pop icons to artists."

The single sheet of paper features a rough draft of the lyrics, including crossings out and a spelling error where "film" is written as "flim".

On the reverse side is a neater version written in capital letters and with fewer corrections.

Apparently added later is the line: "I love to turn you on", for which the song was banned by the BBC when it first came out in 1967 because the words were deemed to be a reference to taking drugs.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band topped the U.S. and British charts, won four Grammy awards in 1968 and is ranked number 26 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

The lyrics once belonged to Mal Evans, the Beatles' road manager.

We all know who is Harrison Ford right? I knew him when he was casted in Star war movies in the '80's and many other blockbusters movies later on. Just now I read this news about him getting married with Calista Flockhart at the age of 67. Do you think he will still enjoy his sexual life at this age? Well with the Viagra around I think he will. If that is what he wants and the woman then why not, companionship is still important and will be important as you go older.

Here is the news about his "I do":

LOS ANGELES– Actors Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have finally said "I do," marrying in a ceremony at the governor's mansion in the US state of New Mexico, according to media reports on Wednesday.

The couple's representative confirmed to People magazine that Ford, 67, the star of the "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars" films, tied the knot with 45-year-old Flockhart in Santa Fe on Tuesday. The ceremony was conducted by Governor Bill Richardson.

Ford is currently filming "Cowboys and Aliens" in the southwestern state.

He reportedly proposed to Flockhart on Valentine's Day last year. The Hollywood couple, who met at the Golden Globe awards in 2002, are parents of Flockhart's nine-year-old adopted son Liam.

This is the third marriage for Ford who has 4 other older children and 2 grandchildren, and the first for Flockhart who played the title role in the quirky TV legal sitcom "Ally McBeal" from 1997 until 2002
