Miss Venezuela is Miss International 2015

Miss International 2015 was concluded yesterday and the winner is Miss Venezuela Edymar Martinez. Miss Honduras was named first runner-up. For the first time, a black from Africa was able to penetrate as second runner-up. As we could remember Tunisia almost won by placing first runners-up before. Third runners-up is Miss Vietnam. This is the highest placement for Vietnam in Miss International since they joined the said pageant. The fourth place is Miss USA.

Parul Shah takes 3rd runner-up in Miss Grand International 2015

Philippines representative Parul Shah in Miss Grand International 2015 is third runner-up. She was the winner of Binibing Pilipinas Tourism in 2014 but was able to compete that year. She also won best in National Costume in Miss Grand International 2015. Binibining Pilipinas sent a congratulations messaged to Sha for winning 3rd runner up. The pageant was help in Bangkok, Thailand.

Miss World Philippines 2015 is Hillarie Danielle Parungao

Last night I watched Hillarie Danielle Parungao, she is the country's representative to the Miss World pageant to be held on December 19 in Sanya, China. Last year winner Valerie Weigmann crowned her. Philippines has one winner of Miss World courtesy of Miss Megan Young.

Hillarie Danielle Parungao was crowned Miss World Philippines 2015 at the Theater at Solaire on Sunday, October 18.

Hillarie, who hails from Nueva Vizcaya, succeeded last year's winner Valerie Weigmann. Hillarie will represent the country in the Miss World pageant in Sanya, China on December 19.

Aside from winning the crown, Hillarie also bagged a number of special awards, including best in swimsuit, best in long gown, best in fashion runway, best in sports challenge, Miss Zen Institute, Miss Technomarine, Miss Solaire, Miss Figlia, and Miss Phoenix.

During the question and answer portion of for the Top 5, Hillarie was asked what her philosophy is in life. She answered that her philosophy “always relies on compassion.” "I believe that compassion can open doors to many challenges in life... I also believe that in compassion, we get to understand other people, and in understanding other people we become a better society," she said.

The coronation night was hosted by Tim Yap, Miss World Philippines 2011 Gwen Ruais, and actress Iya Villania Arellano.

Also crowned were First Princess Marita Cassandra Naidas, Second Princess Mia Allyson Howell, Third Princess ma. Vanessa Wright and Fourth Princess Emma Mary Tiglao.

Miss World 2013 Megan Young judged the pageant this year, together with Chavit Singson, Migz Zubiri, Fernando Carillo, Cris Albert, Celine Matias, Jose Mari Abacan, Kathleen Dy Go, Flint Carl Richardson, and Ma Francesca Tan.

Miss Tourism International Rizzini Alexis Gomez is Dead

Miss Tourism International Rizzini Alexis Gomez died because of lung cancer. She is 25 years old.

Former beauty queen Rizzini Alexis Gomez passed away on Tuesday at the age of 25 due to lung cancer.

 

She is the daughter of former Alaska guard and University of Cebu coach Roehl Gomez, who confirmed the news to friends in the basketball community.

 

The younger Gomez was named Miss Tourism during the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012 grand coronation night before winning the Miss Tourism International title that year.

Later, she served as muse for Alaska for the PBA's opening ceremonies in 2013. Shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with cancer.

 

Through former Roehl's former teammate Jojo Lastimosa, PBA stars came together last week for a benefit game in part to help out with her medical bills. 

 

Lastimosa's wife Butchik told GMA News Online that Rizzini was brought to the intensive care unit on Monday. They received sad news of her demise in the morning.

 

Rizzini's ordeal came as a surprise to those close to her family.

 

"Parang aggressive yung cancer ni Rizzi, it spread fast," said Butchik, who added that the beauty queen had just turned 25 last August. 

 

In 2012, Rizzini was featured on Saksi after her victory in the international pageant.

There are many forums and websites about beauty pageants nowadays. Most of these forums are owned by individuals who are beauty pageant enthusiast. I visited lots of them and to be honest I don't like some of these pageant forums because there are lots of bashing and character assassination. Most of us are visiting forums to enjoy, learn and share our ideas not to di-humanize anyone especially the candidates. It is not easy to be a candidate wherein you have to show your body to many people and be confident.

Miss India is Miss Earth 2010

Miss India Nicole Faria was proclaimed Miss Earth 2010 yesterday December 4, 2010 in Nha Trang Vietnam. She was crowned by out-going Larrisa Ramos of Brasil who was Miss Earth 2009. Miss Earth Air is Miss Ecuador, Miss Thailand was declared as Miss Earth- Water while Miss Puerto Rico is Miss Earth-Fire.


Miss Earth-Air was crowned by Sandra Siefert who was Miss Earth-air 2009. Karla Paula Henry who won Miss Earth 2008 was one of the judges. Many pageant experts were satisfied with the set of winners than other grand slam pageant results though the production was not very entertaining compared to Miss Universe but in my own openion every pageant is unique so why copy the other pageant.

Ronan Keating was the invited entertainer guess who do not know about Miss Earth. Miss Earth 2011 will still be held in Vietnam next year.

Nicole Faria is the first crowned queen from India after 10 years and a first from India to be crowned as Miss Earth.

Miss Photogenic and Miss Friendship in Miss Earth 2010

Yesterday the Miss Photogenic and Miss Friendship were announced and the winner for Miss Photogenic is Miss Thailand. Thailand Captured both Miss Earth 2010 and Miss Universe 2010 Miss Photogenic award. Thailand voted Miss Photogenic Online and many people are saying that Thai people supported their delegates too much. Isn't she lovely? Some said that Miss India or Miss Vietnam should win this award. Anyway congratulation to Miss Thailand.

Miss Congeniality is Miss Guatemala.

These awards have no bearing who will be the top 15 or 14 tomorrow. The judges had chosen their favorites already based on interview and appearance without make-up. Miss Earth 2011 will happen in Manila, Philippines.

Miss Earth 2010 final will be on December 4, 2010 in Vinpearl Resort, Nha Trang, Vietnam. Miss Ecuador is one of the favorite to win along with Miss India Nicole Faria, Miss Venezuela, Miss Vietnam and Miss Australia. Who you think will win guys?
