Dingdong Dantes in ABS-CBN New Movie

I watched his movie with Kris Aquino before and I think he is a good actor. We all know that Dingdong Dantes is a GMA talent but he did three movies with ABS-CBN. He is lucky because not all actors are able to do this especially if you are an exclusive talent in a certain company.

Read the article about this news from ABS-CBN:

Actor paired with Bea Alonzo for anniversary film

MANILA -- Dingdong Dantes feels "fortunate" to be part of the year-long 20th anniversary celebration of ABS-CBN's film production outfit.

The 32-year-old actor, who is considered one of the prized leading men of ABS-CBN's rival network GMA-7, is starring in yet another Star Cinema film to mark the third year in a row he has been involved in a high-profile Kapamilya project.
"I'm very fortunate that I'm given the opportunity," Dantes told ABS-CBN News shortly after the film's story conference held Friday.

Referring to the movie as among Star Cinema's 20th anniversary offerings, the actor added, "Pag gano'n, medyo special talaga 'di ba? And I'm very fortunate na makakasama ako sa ganoong klaseng celebration, even though I wasn't there since day 1. But over the last 2 years, kahit paano [naging parte ako]."

Although largely identified with GMA-7, Dantes has appeared in a number of ABS-CBN projects, including the Metro Manila Film Festival entries "Segunda Mano" and "One More Try."

Both produced by Star Cinema, the films scored back-to-back Best Actor trophies for Dantes in 2011 and 2012.

New leading lady
For his third film with ABS-CBN, Dantes will work for the first time with Bea Alonzo in a story that centers on the pair as best friends.

Although the two have previously worked together in fashion shows and, most recently, a magazine shoot, they have never co-starred in an acting project.

"I'm extremely happy na finally makakatrabaho ko siya," Dantes said, referring to his fourth Kapamilya leading lady after Kris Aquino in "Seguna Mano," and Angel Locsin and Angelica Panganiban in "One More Try."

Alonzo is likewise excited over her team-up with Dantes.

"Ako, I'm excited na finally makakatrabaho ko na siya, kasi alam naman natin na hindi siya everyday nangyayari," she said, before turning to Dantes to add, "I'm very honored na makatrabaho ka."

Like her new leading man, Alonzo said she feels grateful to headline a project that is part of Star Cinema's anniversary line-up.

"Syempre masaya [ako], kasi alam naman natin na every project, every movie na ginagawa nila for the 20th anniversary, ay maganda. Sinimulan 'yon ng 'Four Sisters,' tapos ngayon may 'Tuhog,' and these movies are doing very well," she said.

The actress was referring to the family "dramedy," "Four Sisters and a Wedding," and the black comedy film, "Tuhog," which are still showing in cinemas nationwide.

Alonzo is also among the lead cast members of the Cathy Garcia-Molina-directed "Four Sisters and a Wedding," along with Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, Shaina Magdayao and Enchong Dee.

No pressure
Asked if she feels pressured with the prospect of her latest film -- it being her first team-up with Dantes, and her second Star Cinema anniversary movie -- Alonzo said she prefers to simply "enjoy" the experience of being with a new group of people.

"Ako, I don't want to get pressured, lalo na this early. Ang gusto ko lang mag-enjoy habang ginagawa 'tong pelikulang 'to, to get to know this person (Dantes). I just want to have fun doing this movie.

"Tapos na ako doon sa nakaka-pressure na movies, hindi ba? Nando'n na 'ko sa 'I want each moment to count,' and to make memories with them, with this group," she said.

Agreeing with his new on-screen partner, Dantes added, "I think mag-e-enjoy talaga kami rito. Enjoy, meaning enjoy sa paggawa, and definitely 'yung mga manonood, ay mag-ee-njoy sila sa mapapanood nila. At the same time, maraming mapupulot na mga aral, about relationships, about themselves."

By this time a frequent collaborator of Star Cinema, Dantes was asked whether he now considers the film outfit his "family."

"I love doing movies, gustung-gusto 'yung mga taong katrabaho ko, and everytime I'm on the set, and everytime na gumagawa ako, I always treasure them. I always treat everyone just like family," he said.

The title of the film, as well as its director, have yet to be announced.

Sam Milby as Villain "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala"

Sam Milby has came long long way from "Big Brothers" to singing and acting. This half Filipino-American actor is very famous for guy next door type acting and he is a lead actor in most of his films. Lately I was surprised that he into villain role too. By the way he is very good in it and very convincing.

Here is the complete article about him taken from ABS-CBN:

MANILA -- Sam Milby is happy to know that he has earned some "haters" because of his character in "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala."

In the ABS-CBN drama series, the 29-year-old heartthrob actor portrays Eros, whose hope of reuniting with his wife and their child becomes an obsessive and potentially fatal hunt.

The character is the first-ever "kontrabida" role of Milby, who was handpicked by lead star Judy Ann Santos for her comeback project.

Over the course of "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" since its Primetime Bida debut in June, Milby's character has evolved from a sweet-talking and aggressive suitor to Anessa (Santos) to her ruthless and physically abusive husband.
At the sidelines of his photo shoot for a fitness magazine on Thursday, Milby said he is thrilled with the response of the audience on his portrayal in the soap.

"I'm really excited and happy about 'Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,' na 'yung reaction ng mga tao... maraming naiinis," he said, bringing up reactions on the popular micro-blogging site Twitter.

"Maganda kasi 'yung sa mga tweets, laging, 'Nakakainis talaga 'yung character ni Eros,' na, 'Sobrang bad siya.' Pero laging may kasamang, 'You're doing such a good job at portraying Eros, keep it up!' Laging may positive note," he said.
Admittedly anxious about playing a "kontrabida" at first, Milby said he feels relieved to get favorable feedback on his take on Eros.

"That's encouraging para sa akin. It's something na I've been working harder for, para sa role na 'to. Syempre it's soemthing different na hindi ko pa nagagawa.

"Having that acknowledgement, seeing 'yung effort ko, improvement sa acting at lahat-lahat, it's encouraging. And ako, I'm sobrang happy for all the feedback I've been getting," he said.

Fast-paced story
For what is seen as his most well-received TV portrayal to date, Milby expressed gratitude to Santos for personally choosing him to take on the role, and his directors for guiding him.

"Ako, I owe everything to Juday (Santos). Sa sobrang galing ni Juday, I'm really learning a lot from her and feeding off of her energy din. Pati sina direk, I've been asking them, 'Paano ko aatikihin 'tong eksenang to?' They've all been helping me," he said.

The series is directed by Malu Sevilla, Jerry Lopez Sineneng, and Tots Mariscal IV.

Milby is also particularly happy with the performance of "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" in terms of its nationwide ratings.

Based on data from multi-national market research group Kantar Media, the drama series has consistently ruled its timeslot in both urban and rural households.

Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes, representing 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.

Crediting the fast-paced story-telling of "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala," Milby said he isn't surprised with the series' nationwide ratings.

"It's because of the story. the story is sobrang suspenseful eh, ang ganda ng story, you don't know kung ano mangyayari," he said.

At the current point in the story aired so far, Milby said his character "[will have to be] the bad guy right now."
"Pero sana maintindihan ng mga tao na, wala, sobrang love niya si Anessa at ayaw niyang mawala si Anessa at 'yung anak niya sa buhay niya, so he'll do anything and everything to keep his wife," he added.

Airing weeknights after "Muling Buksan ang Puso," "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" also stars KC Concepcion, John Estrada, Coney Reyes, Tirso Cruz III, Mylene Dizon, Susan Africa, Empress Schuck and Joseph Marco.
