John Loyd Cruz willing to show his behind in the future

The box office king John Loyd Cruz or also known as Loydi is willing to show his butt in his future movie if the story requires it. He has a movie shown right now in the Philippines with Angel Locsin. The last time they worked together was in the telenovela called IMORTAL which was very successful too. Right now their movie earned millions of pesos.

John Loyd is a multi-award actor in the Philippines and almost all his movies were box office. Some of his partner are Bea Alonso, Sarah Geronimo and Angel Locsin.

John Loyd Cruz said that he will not go sexy just for the sake of doing it. There must be a reason to show his skin. If it is not needed in the story he will not show it. In his latest movie he showed more skin than his previous movies which speculate that he will go more daring in the future. He explained that he will only do it if it is really needed in the story.

Sharon Cuneta signed a P1 billion deal with ABC5

Sharon Cuneta
I read that the Megastar had signed a deal with ABC5 so if it is true then she will left ABS-CBN. According to the news she signed a five years contract with the Kapatid Channel. Did she made a right decision? Many people said that she will lost her statues as the megastar but many people also said that she lost it long time ago just like other star whose start was brightly shining. Many people also said that Sharon is balingbing. But whether it is true or not she still get the biggest salary.

Ganyan naman yang si mega palipat lipat, papalit-palit, kung san mas may pera. Teka nung 1995 sinalubong nya ang santo papa with her on a jollibee billboard, after a while sa mc doo na daw siya. Eto naman ang tinatawag na "profit sharing thru advertising " ng mga companies ni mvp to tv5 at the expense of the consumers/susbcribers and some stockholders of those utility cos plus mapapababa pa nila ang ROIs ng mga ito (for govt regularatory purposes esp for meralco) while tv5 gains everything. wais...

Mara Clara remake gets Banff nomination

Mara Clara Cast
The remake of Mara Clara is nominated for Banff. The casts are very happy about it. The original Mara Clara was aired in ABS-CBN in the 90's that made Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes a household names. The remake is the most watched telenovela today.

Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes plays Mara and Clara respectively. Mara Clara is the story of two young ladies who were switched when they were babies in the hospital.

The other local telenovela that is nominated is the Baker King which is an adaptation from a Korean telenovela which is entitled as Bread, Love and Dreams.

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN's remake of the 90s classic soap opera "Mara Clara" is set to compete in Canada's 2011 Banff World Media Festival in June.

According to Banff's official website, "Mara Clara" is one of the two Asian nominees in the Telenovelas & Soap Operas category, pitted against South Korea's "Bread, Love and Dreams," popularly known locally as GMA 7's "Baker King."

Aside from "Bread, Love and Dreams," "Mara Clara" will be up against the United Kingdom's "Coronation Street"; and the USA's "Days of Our Lives," "Eva Luna" and "The Queen of the South" in the same category.

"Mara Clara" was originally aired on ABS-CBN from 1992 until 1997. The original story, created by Emil Cruz, Jr., follows the life of two young ladies, the meek but poor Mara and the rich villain Clara, who were switched at birth. The original starred Judy Ann Santos (Mara) and Gladys Reyes (Clara).

In 2010, ABS-CBN announced that a remake of the hit TV series will be aired and will star rookie actresses Kathryn Bernardo as Mara and Julia Montes as Clara. The show is currently airing on ABS-CBN's primetime block.

The Banff World Media Festival, also known as the "Rockies," is an "internationally-recognized awards program celebrating the very best in international television and digital media production" and will run from June 12-15.

Generally, the festival is divided into three categories: the Fiction Rockies, the Non-Fiction Rockies and the Interactive Rockies. The Telenovelas & Soap Operas category is under the Fiction Rockies, a category that "recognizes the very best in scripted television programming from around the world."

The Fiction Rockies awards ceremony will take place on June 12 at the AOL Canada Theater and will be hosted by "Entertainment Tonight" Canada's Hollywood correspondent Matte Babel.
